Features for text formats and layout of the imprint page

Display graphics for imprint page

The imprint page is the next page (verso) after the book title page. The stylesheet p4-imprintpage.xsl has all features and instructions to set up text styles for the imprint page. The imprint page details that can be set in the stylesheet are:

Other details can be put on the imprint page such as a legal notice, logos, and information about cover design and production details (e.g. printing, environmental statements).

XML markup to edit

The XML markup for imprint page information is nested immediately within the <book><info> tags. In the XML book templates (in directory /xml), the relevant markup starts with the <copyright> element and finishes with the
element.

To ensure that certain text and graphics in the XML <book> element appear only on the imprint page (and not on the title page), use the following markup:
XML markup Description
<edition role="imprint"> xxx </edition> This ensures that the edition number will appear on the imprint page, and separates this from any styles for the edition number on the title page
<cover role="imprint"> xxx </cover> Any text or graphics can be put inside this element to appear only on the imprint page
<publisher role="imprint"> xxx </publisher> Publisher's name that will appear only on the imprint page (and not the title page)
<mediaobject role="imprint"> ... </mediaobject> Graphics (e.g. logos) that will appear only on the imprint page (and not the title page)
<printhistory role="imprint"> xxx </printhistory> List of previous editions and years of publication that will appear only on the imprint page (and not the title page)
